    The book I never wanted to write

    The irony that my debut novel, Happily Never Afterlife, is a romcom is not lost on me. It’s the type of book I never wanted to write. Ever. In fact, I refused to write the assigned romantic comedy short story for a competition I paid money to participate in. I never wanted to write about love. Now it’s the subject of my first book.
